    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The idea of dual messiahs is the belief that there are either two messiahs or one messiah assuming the role of two. Later-Judaism talks about two messiahs — sons respectively of Joseph and of David.   If Tabor's book is controversial on the birth of Jesus, it also raises questions about Jesus' early ministry. Tabor suggests there were two messiahs, not one.
